Ron Otto, PresidentRon Otto is president and founder of National Sales Solutions, LLC, a sales and marketing consulting firm headquartered in St. Louis, MO. At NSS, the focus is on helping small to medium sized manufacturers of healthcare-related products, launch new brands in the Drug, Food, and Mass classes trade. As president, Ron is responsible for client development, sales and marketing, and coordinating the activities of the six field sales managers. Prior to starting National Sales Solutions, Ron was Senior Vice-President of Sales for Patient Education Media, where he was responsible for national sales and marketing for a $26 million division of Time Life. Ron started his career and spent 16 years with Richardson-Vicks, a division of P&G, where he held many leadership roles including Vice-President of National Accounts and Division Manager. He managed all aspects of new product development at retail for both large and niche brands. Ron has served as president of the National Association of General Merchandise Representatives (NAGMR), a rep association. He is also Chairperson for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Outreach and Business Development Broker/Rep workgroup. Ron graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1973, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing. He and his wife, Sandy, reside in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jim Lewis, Executive Vice-PresidentPrior to joining National Sales Solutions as a partner, Jim held several management positions with Revlon during a 19-year tenure. While there, he won numerous sales awards including District Sales Manager of the year, Regional Sales Manager of the year, and was elected to Revlon’s Chairman’s Circle. He was also responsible for the club wholesale business and developed many first ever “Club Packs” for this class of trade. Jim also spent 6 years with Bristol-Myers, where, as district manager, he developed the first part-time (employee) merchandising program. This program was adopted nationally. As VP of procurement of a regional drug store chain, Jim offers insight from a buyer’s point of view. Jim currently serves as an officer of NAGMR (National Association of General Merchandise Representatives). His education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree from Marshall University in 1970, with a major in Business Administration and minor in Psychology. Advanced education includes a Pre-Med degree from Marshall. Jim and his wife, Nancy, reside in Seattle, Washington.

Tom Fraley, Executive Vice-PresidentTom Fraley serves as Executive Vice-President at NSS, managing a number of the largest Food, Drug and Mass Merchandiser accounts. Prior to joining NSS, Tom spent 19 years as President of Thomas MacKenzie & Co. Inc. a consulting company specializing in the Consumer Package Goods industry. He started his career with Scott Paper before being recruited to Richardson Vicks where he spent a number of years in various positions and earned numerous sales awards. Tom resides in the Chicago area where he remains active in the community currently serving as Police and Fire Commissioner and coaching youth soccer.

Ron Benincasa, Executive Vice-PresidentRon Benincasa has been contributing his efforts to the success of Pharmaceutical and Medical Device manufacturers and marketers for over 40 years. After receiving his PharmB degree and Post-grad degree in Pharmacology, from St. John’s University, he spent time as a Research Scientist at Roche Laboratories, and as a Regulatory Officer for Richardson-Vicks and Wyeth Labs. Ron then crossed over to Product Management, Marketing Development and Sales Management roles in companies such as American Home Products, BioMedical Sciences, ERIKA Dialysis, Graphic Stress Corporation, and US Medical Instruments. Ron was a co-inventor of the world’s first Tympanic Thermometer while at Intelligent Medical Systems, where he served in executive sales and marketing positions and ultimately managed the sale of that $40M company to American Home Products. He has repeatedly served as CEO of start-up and early-stage healthcare companies, with direct responsibility for the sales planning and management functions in addition to his leadership role. Having joined NSS nearly 10 years ago, Ron brings his unique perspective and extensive experience in national, international, consumer and clinical markets to our clients in every segment of the healthcare business. Ron is a licensed and instrument-rated pilot, and balances his intense work schedule with an occasional day at the golf-course. He has lived in San Diego, California, with his wife, Emily, for over 30 years. Here, he provides a West Coast presence for NSS.
